Nor Or Weekly Celebrates 95Th Anniversary

Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and Mexico, “Nor Or” Weekly celebrated its 95^th anniversary on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Organized by the Western District of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, the gala event was presided by Mrs. Ani Sarkissian.

The Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, accompanied by Diocesan Council Chairman Joseph Kanimian, Esq. and Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian attended the event. On behalf of the Diocesan faithful, the Primate congratulated the editorial staff as well as the organizers on the auspicious occasion.

Established in 1922 in Fresno, the Nor Or Weekly newspaper is an organ of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Organization (Ramgavar Party). In 1964 the paper moved from Fresno to the Los Angeles area. It is published weekly and includes both an Armenian section and an English section.
