California Armenian Home Board President Visits the Western Diocese

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, California Armenian Home Board President Lucy Kazanjian Grayson and the administrative staff paid a courtesy visit to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America where they met with the Primate and Joseph Kanimian, Esq., Diocesan Council and former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Ararat Home.

Possible avenues of collaboration between the institutions were discussed.

Earlier this year, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, accompanied by Diocesan Council member and Chief Operating Officer of Ararat Home of Los Angeles, Inc (Ararat Home). Mr. Derik Ghookasian and Ararat Home Board member Dr. Vatche Bardakjian, visited California Armenian Home in Fresno where they met with the California Armenian Home Board President Lucy Kazanjian Grayson and the residents.

The California Armenian Home was established in 1952.

The first small building caring for about 30 residents was built in 1952. The property, the building and the funds to furnish the building were all donated by the Armenian Community. Throughout the years the California Armenian Home, Not for Profit Corporation, continued to grow and develop thanks to financial and moral support of our generous community.

Today California Armenian Home operates 120 skilled beds and 30 Residential Units in a loving, caring, and family oriented environment.
