Lscc Members Visit The Elderly Residents Of Ararat Home

The Ladies Society Central Council members visited Ararat Home in Mission Hills on Thursday, September 14, 2017. The ladies were greeted by the Rev. Fr. Yeremia Khachatryan, the diocesan visiting priest to Ararat Home, and later met and interacted with the residents. 

The elderly of the community expressed their gratitude to the ladies for their cordial visit and companionship, sharing with their esteemed guests fond memories from their childhood and youth. One resident who was a physician prior to his retirement shared that he loved to read and that is what he does to pass the time.  

After a short visit with the residence, Father Yeremia delivered an inspirational sermon, sang the Lord’s Prayer and with the vocal accompaniment of the residents a few other hymns.

The visit concluded with one of the members, Sybille Aprahamian, playing the flute and leading the group in folk songs.  

For the Ladies Society Central Council, the meeting with the residents was both an emotional and rewarding experience.
