Horror has once again befallen our nation. Evil, in its purest form, has struck in the holiest of places, the House of God. As a religious leader and as pious people, loyal to the Words of Christ, our Lord, we pray for the victims, their families and those injured in the Texas massacre. May God grant them rest in the abode of the heavenly saints and peace and consolation through the Holy Spirit.
I am also deeply troubled by the absence of God in our schools and institutions. This is the manifestation of the absence of the divine in the heart of people. Let us remain loyal to God’s first commandment “I am the Lord, your God…” (Exodus 20:2).
