January 21st was an emotional day for the parishioners of Holy Resurrection Armenian Church. Having furthered his studies in conjunction with fulfilling pastoral obligations at the Seattle Parish, the Very Rev. Fr. Yeremia Abgaryan celebrated his last Divine Liturgy after which the young priest departed to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The church sanctuary was filled with faithful who had attended the service to express their gratitude and bid farewell to Fr. Yeremia.Â
Having participated in the service, the Rev. Fr. Nerses Hayrapetyan extended the episcopal blessings of the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and read His Eminence’s letter of commendation addressed to the young priest. In his letter, Archbishop Derderian reflected on the valuable service of Fr. Yeremia Abgaryan both at Headquarters of the Western Diocese as well as pastoring the flock of Christ of Seattle’s Holy Resurrection Armenian Church.

In turn, Fr. Yeremia expressed his wholehearted gratitude to the Diocesan Primate for his blessings and compassionate care throughout the years. Fr. Yeremia also expressed his appreciation to the Parish Council, the Ladies Society, the auxiliary bodies and the entire faithful for their loyalty, trust and love.Â
